Nu7usqnamktinits c ats, pustuminits tuu. My English name is Kashka Clellamin, My Nuxalk name is Ximximana. The grizzly bear is my main family crest and I come from the village of stuic in Bella Coola in which I was born and raised.
I began pursuing my art when I was 11 years old, I am now 19 and a graduate of the Freda Diesing School of Northwest Coast Art. I first found interest in form line art and traditional Nuxalk art in my early years of school but started practicing more in high school. I have grown my skills in 2-dimensional design and painting over the years and now I am currently learning on a deeper level moving into 3-dimensional carving. My greatest goal is to continue to practice and master my skill and ability with patience and openness, and never stop learning.
