My name is Elise Helin, my Crest is a Wolf, I am Ts’msyen. I come from the village of Lax Kw’alaams. I was born in Vancouver and raised in Prince Rupert.
I have always had an interest in form line art, but it was introduced to me in early 2023 at Charles Hays secondary school by Kelly Clifton who also taught me my people’s history and language. Kelly Clifton is a Ts’msyen artist and alumni from the Freda Diesing school of Northwest Coast Art, she inspired me to attend this school to further my journey as an artist.
