Exciting Announcements from the YVRAF Board

New Beginnings and Grateful Endings

Just weeks before our highly anticipated Scholarship Awards, YVR Art Foundation is delighted to announce that Alana Lawrence has been elected Chair of the YVRAF Board of Directors.

Alana LawrenceAlana is the Vice President, Communications, Environment & Indigenous Relations at YVR. She is an experienced aviation leader who upholds the values of YVR through delivering on climate initiatives, deepening our commitment to reconciliation and serving our community and the economy that supports it with timely, transparent communications. She was elected to the YVRAF Board in 2020 and served as the Foundation’s Vice President. Alana will lead the ten-member volunteer Board of Directors working alongside YVRAF Executive Director Elisabeth Kyle.

We are also excited to announce that Christina Gray has been elected to the YVRAF Board of Directors.

Christina is an associate at JFK Law LLP, specializing in Indigenous rights advocacy. She holds the Sm’algyax name ‘Aɬaxsgaaxsiɬ Gaax Aganɬaak, meaning “the raven caws its name early in the morning.” Christina is a member of the Ts’msyen community of Lax Kw’alaams, BC, and Dene from Łutselkʼe, NWT. Based in Prince Rupert, she collaborates remotely with clients and colleagues across Canada. Welcome Christina!

We also express our deepest thanks to Past Presidents Aaron Wilson and Roger Holland, and Treasurer Stuart Anderson on completing their terms as YVRAF Board Members. We cannot thank you enough for your work in service of the mandate of YVRAF.
