Robert Frank Scott (1952-2024)

Robert Scott was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend whose life was defined by his love for his family, his passions, and his art community. Robert was always committed to creating moments of joy and togetherness.

A man of many interests, Robert’s love for art led him to create and operate Eagle Spirit Gallery, where he spent over 30 years supporting and promoting the work of local indigenous artists. Through the gallery, Robert fostered a space for cultural expression and understanding, becoming a key figure in the arts community and a passionate advocate for Indigenous creators.

Robert was known for his incredible warmth, his laughter, and his infectious positivity. His genuine kindness and ability to bring happiness to others left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He had an unparalleled gift for making those around him feel valued and loved, and his influence extended far beyond his immediate circle.

Robert’s legacy lives on through his family and friends; the countless people whose lives he touched with his generosity, laughter, and kindness; and through the YVRAF Robert Scott Memorial Fund. His life was a testament to the power of living fully, loving deeply, and making the world a brighter place for those around him.

Thank you to Christopher and Elizabeth Rognier for their generosity through the Robert Scott Memorial Fund.
