I got into Haida art to show my kids with pure determination you can accomplish anything. I was never an artistic person up until 1997. I woke up just wanting to carve and I did it with no training, just studying old Haida master pieces at the Museum of Anthropology. I want to learn all I can and most importantly to learn wood carving so I can carve my late Great grandfather Chief Weah, the last born Chief in Old Massett, he died never having a pole raised for his chieftainship and I will do that.
