Dear friends, colleagues, supporters, and members of the YVR Art Foundation community,
I am writing to share that I will be retiring from my role as Executive Director, with my final day being September 25, 2026.
This is a bittersweet decision. The time has come for me to be more present for my family, even though it is difficult to say goodbye to a role and a community that have meant so much to me.
My time with the YVR Art Foundation has been an extraordinary chapter in my life and career. I have had the privilege of working alongside an incredibly dedicated team, a committed volunteer Board, and so many generous supporters, patrons and partners. I have been continually inspired by the First Nation artists and researchers who share their talent, energy and creativity to make YVRAF what it is. What I will remember most is not any particular accomplishment, but the people and the moments we have shared—the challenges we worked through together, the occasions we celebrated, the relationships that grew, and the many reminders of why this organization and this work makes a difference.
I am deeply proud of what we have accomplished together, and I hope you are too.
As the Board is working through the leadership transition the organization’s important work continues, and I have every confidence that your support will continue to carry it forward. Leaving is never easy when you care deeply about the people and the work. At the same time, I leave with a full heart and tremendous gratitude—for your trust, your friendship, your encouragement, and the opportunity to be part of something that matters.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of the YVR Art Foundation story. It has been a privilege.
